About

A tool that should have existed twenty years ago.

Motorsport has spent two decades getting better at measuring drivers. Vision, reaction, cognition, heart rate, neck load, sleep, recovery. It has never measured the two things actually touching the car.

A driver has access to more data than ever. Telemetry traces, debriefs, video, sector splits. Every one of those describes the car. None of them describe the two feet operating it.

That leaves a specific question unanswerable. When a braking point drifts two metres across a stint, three things could be true: the decision came late, the foot was slow, or the pressure was inconsistent. Telemetry shows the outcome of all three at once and separates none of them. A coach can guess. So can the driver. That is where driver development has stopped for as long as anyone can remember.

In every comparable sport this is solved. Strength has force plates. Vision has its own testing industry. Reaction training has a whole product category. Motorsport — decided by two feet on two pedals, thousands of times a race — had nothing that measured either foot.

The hardware to fix it was already sitting in front of the driver. A modern load-cell pedal set is a precision force sensor that happens to be sold as a sim racing accessory. Purple treats it as what it actually is: an instrument.

Train the part of you that wins races.

Windows 10 and 11. Works with any quality load-cell pedal set.
